Pirate Fleet Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Doggett Labs ("we", "us") covering the Pirate Fleet app and its online services. By downloading or playing Pirate Fleet, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Your license

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Pirate Fleet on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, rent, sell, or redistribute the app or any part of it, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

The app, its artwork, text, and code remain ours. These terms give you no ownership of them.

Your account

You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, whichever is greater. Do not share your account or use anyone else's.

Rules of conduct

You agree not to submit, post, or transmit any content — including display names, clan names, clan descriptions, and message board posts — that:

• is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or pornographic;
• harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates another person;
• promotes hatred or violence against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age;
• sexualizes minors in any way;
• impersonates another person, or misrepresents your affiliation with anyone;
• contains anyone's private information, yours included;
• advertises, solicits, spams, or promotes a scam;
• infringes someone else's intellectual property rights.

You also agree not to:

• cheat, exploit bugs, or use bots, modified clients, or automation;
• tamper with or forge traffic to our servers, or otherwise falsify progress, leaderboard standing, or purchases;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or to another player's account;
• disrupt the service or the experience of other players;
• buy, sell, or trade accounts or in-game items for real money outside the app.

Moderation and enforcement

We filter submitted content for prohibited material, review reports, and may remove content, reset a name, restrict features, suspend an account, or permanently ban a player. Serious or repeated violations lead to a permanent ban. We may act without prior notice where the content or conduct warrants it. Accounts terminated for violating these terms forfeit any virtual items and unused currency, and no refund is owed.

You are responsible for the content you submit, and by submitting it you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute it within the game for the purpose of operating the service.

Purchases and virtual items

Pirate Fleet offers in-app purchases of gems and other items. All purchases are processed by Apple and are governed by the App Store Terms of Service.

Gems, gold, infamy, ships, crew, and every other in-game item are a limited license to use them inside Pirate Fleet. They are not your property, have no monetary value, and cannot be redeemed for real money. They may be changed, rebalanced, or discontinued as the game is updated, and prestige resets them by design as part of normal play.

Purchases are final. Refund requests are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com; we cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves.

Changes to the game

Pirate Fleet is a live game. We may add, change, rebalance, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the service. We will give reasonable notice of a full shutdown where we can.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that progress will never be lost. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost progress, or lost virtual items. Our total liability arising from the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account in Profile → Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms. Sections covering ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.

Apple

This agreement is between you and Doggett Labs, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you. Any claim that the app fails to conform to a warranty is our responsibility, not Apple's, and to the extent any warranty is not effectively disclaimed Apple's sole obligation is to refund the purchase price.

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence give you greater rights.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
